Facebook Engagement Dips: 34% of users spend less time on the social networking site
A new survey suggests about 1/3 of Facebook users are spending less time on the site than they were six months ago. But right now there isn’t a known reason for the dip.  This study that polled 1,032 Americans   conducted among 1,032 Americans by Reuters and research firm Ipsos, 35% of Facebook users said they are less engaged on the social network than they have been in the recent past. However, 20% of members are spending more time on the site.
The study found that many Facebook users did not know many of the details involving the highly publicized Facebook IPO, but 44% noted that the IPO made them feel less favorable towards Facebook. Many it’s the style, maybe it’s our society changing - but people are using Facebook less. The question is why and will Facebook stick around for the long run?
